Austin Says Bye!

So much is going on with Austin since our last post...Austin now has so many new words! Austin says buh (bye), dah (dog), yayayaya (yay), pop (Papa), Mo (more) and he started using the sign too! He has a lot of words and says mama ALL the time. Austin has been a little under the weather but the dr said it is probably just allergies...he is back on breathing treatments too :(. It doesn't help that he just cut his 1 year molars either so for one day he had a low fever. Austin loves playing with daddy and the dogs! I can't believe I am watching my little man grow right before my eyes he is such a good kiddo!

Words, Words, Words

So our little guy is learing more words everyday! Today as I was feeding him lunch I asked Austin if he could say more while I was signing well as usual he did not sign he just told me "mo" :) Austin knows a lot of words now "Da da", "Mama", "Mom", "A'done" (all done), "Mo" (more), "ya", "no", "Aus-in" (Austin), "Hi" and more I can't remember right now. With all that brain power though Austin still refuses to let go and actually walk by himself, even though he has taken his first steps already. :\ oh well all kids go at their own pace...Well at the 1 yr check up Austin was 20 1/2 lbs, 30" and his head is now back on the curve!! His wieght is still low but the Dr. is not worried.  His height is at the 50-75% so I am glad he will probably be taller than his Dad. Austin loves his playroom's new setup and enjoys "walking" up the stairs and crawling down them again its only 2 so he is safe doing it. We enjoy going to the Phoenix Zoo and the Tempe Historical Museum. We try to get out of the house once a week and host a weekly get together with our playgroup every other week! It is busy busy at the house and Austin loves playing with Jack and Chase!

Austin's party was so much fun! We had a bounce house and pinata and LOTS of food! We saw some old friends and new ones too! Austin had the time of his life and loved all the visitors! Austin got lots of new toys and loves each and everyone of them! It was great that the family came out from Vegas to visit, so all the cousins got to play together. Austin was such a good boy the whole time no tears at all! He loved his dairy-free applesauce cake, so mommy was so happy! There are lots of pictures too because Austin had his own personal paparatzi at the party since Mommy's friend Heather took pictures and so was Tutu and Grandma. The kids loved the bounce house too, I think next time we have a big party we will have everyone in the garage then they can bounce and eat and play all together!

Austin's First Baseball Game

We took Austin to his first baseball game on September 7th. It was a Giants game...well a D-Backs home game against the Giants! The Giants won of course but we were only at the game until the 7th inning just long enough for Austin to hear take me out to the ball game the Giants version! Daddy rooted for the D-Backs though! We were right behind home plate only 10 rows back it was awesome the closest I have ever been, best way to take Austin to his first game THANK YOU DADDY!

My Little Smarty Pants

So Austin now knows he can reach through openings and is working on figuring out the snapware totes I keep his toys in. He will reach through the bars of his pen and grab a toy and pull it through, it is so cute. Austin spends his time "reading" books and playing with things that are not even close to toys! Austin climbs in and around his carseat up and down the steps. His favorite toys are the ones that sing, he loves anything that says his name too, like his dog Scout. I watch the two sweetest boys every other week its nice because I get a week off! Austin's party is 8 days away and I have nailed down most of the details, can't wait to see it all come together!

Party Planning

Party planning is fun, I love geeting all the food and entertainment planned! Austin is 50 weeks old today according to the baby email I got today. He has even done some more new things he stand up a little longer on his own now and waves "HIIII" to everyone, even as you leave. He is still learning to walk but I know he will he's ready! I have the bounce house reserved the head count is in...32 adults 18 children and a handful of infants....going to be a full house! So much to do so little time!

11 mo 3 Weeks

Well 2 more weeks and my little boy will no longer be aged in months....it is bittersweet for this momma, I can't believe it was almost 1 year ago I was holding the newest love of my life. I look back on this last year and I am so proud of my little guy! I watched the first time he rolled over on the camera and remembered the first time he looked at Chris and said Dada and how he never used Mama on anyone else! I am surprized at the ability this small person has to make me so happy and so frustrated at the same time. :) I love my son more today and I will love hime more tomorrow too I am sure. Chris and I decided to make a photo collage of the last 12 mo of his life and I am excited to get started! We are celebrating early though with my family coming in the 10th of September. We are having a big party too I have estimated about 50 people are going to be there although about 20 of them are children. We rented a bounce house and are going to go swimming too! I am excited because we decided to have the party catered so we can both enjoy ourselves and mingle at the party and keep an eye on Austin.

Austin is not walking yet but I am kinda greatful because I already have to chase is little crawling body around not sure I am ready to chse a walking kid around :).  He does climb on everything though so I have to watch him and make sure he doesn't get hurt. Childproofing has begun but we are slacking on getting it done :( I really need to get on it with the child proofing. Austin loves to open and shut the cabinet doors too! Austin is facinated with electronics right now, if he sees a laptop he beelines it to the computer and tries to take. Austin has words he uses now that actually have meanings. He says mama, dada, adone (all done), mo/ma (more) and da (dog or down) he talks a lot of gibberish too.

Daddy and Austin are spending more time together too, they play in the pool and with Austins toys. Austin still loves to hang upside down too so Dad likes to swing him up and down! Austin and Mommy read together too, his favorite books are I Love you Through and Through, and I Love You Because You are You. Austin loves to turn the pages for Mommy.

I am one lucky parent I have a fairly easy going kid, but boy is he mobile!

Cloth Daipers

So it has been 9 mo of cloth diapering and Austin figured out how to take off his dipes! So off to GroVia they go to get snaps! The downside I now have to use sposies :( I miss my easy to use cloth dipes! What I love most about these diapers they grow with our little monkey and I can use them through potty training! I love how I can switch out the inserts and use the same cover assuming the cover is not dirty! With the new soakers there is a laminate on one side that helps with keeping the covers from starting to smell (Daddy hates that!). I love my newest covers I ordered! I have Seaside Stripes and Sunset Stripe the patterns are my favorite! I can't say enough about how wonderful the GroVia diapers are not to metion everything I need for cloth diapering comes from one single company! No more shopping around! PS some of their stuff is even available through Costco and Whole Foods!!

Austin and Mommy set a World Record!

World's Largest Swim Lesson

Austin and Mommy went to the World's Largest Swim Lesson today and set a record. It was also the longest swim lesson Austin had ever had 45 min! We got to be on TV too! Afterwards Austin set another personal record for the worlds longest nap LOL!

Austin Grows...

So Austin is getting big now and has now 2 teeth and is crawling in his own special way. He is able to cross the room in no time at all. Of course now that he is bigger he is growing more attached to certain things and toys...his favorite Tutu's blankie! It is super soft and he loves it. He also is loving his Sophie more and more everyday, its his favorite chewing toy. We also have been going out a lot more now that Austin is able to enjoy the scenery, we went to Sea Life Arizona and the Phoenix Zoo. Austin is loving swim lessons and is doing great and learing how to reach up and hold on to the side of the pool. Mommy and Dayddy are so proud of their little man!! Our darling child is growing so fast though; while talking to Nikki we realized we are just months away from our babies 1st birthdays! It has been the best year of my life and I am so excited for Austin and know there will be many more fabulous years!

Austin and the Ear Infection

Its been more than 2 weeks and Austin has a second ear infection in his other ear. Austin has been put on stronger medicine and will hopefully feel better soon. Austin has now had Thrush, RSV, 2 ear infections and Croup....I feel like I am not doing everything I can as a mother and it is very frustrating. I love Austin with all my heart and only want him to be healthy and happy. I know he will be ok but he is a funny little guy and while his mommy agonizes over the little illnesses he wears a smile and doesn't complain much. I am so blessed with a wonderful child, and I have come to think he is influenced by someone I hold very dear to my heart, my Grandma Esther who always knew what I needed and how to make me feel better. Austin even as a small baby knows his mommy wants him to be happy and he shows me everyday that he knows I care for him and love him. He smiles at me when I walk in the door when he is left with grandma B and laughs at my silly faces. He loves me unconditionally and I am not sure why...all I know is I am blessed with the gentle son and loving husband who have brought so much joy to my life. I will love them forever and I just need to say that, don't worry I was just sitting here thinking about things and wanted to get this off my mind.

Catch Up

Ok well its been a while since I posted and I am usually pretty good, but I have been busy working and taking care of the baby. So...Austin now rolls from his back to his side so almost there. Austin also got sick when we went to see the fam, but he sounds a little better today.

Ok so lets talk about Brittany my long lost cousin/friend! I love that we finally got to meet I had been so excited and now that we have met I can't wait to get together again soon. Vegas was so much fun!!

Ok now on to the good stuff, the secret...well lets just say there maybe a move in the near future and there may not as soon as I find out I will post. I know I am being mysterious but I have to wait til Chris says I can share.
 I will post hints soon...

And they're back...

So its been 4 mo and my hormones are back to normal which brought on the other stuff I don't like so boo! I am also back to one scary lady when aunt flow comes around. Austin is quietly sleeping next to me and Chris is reading a book for work. I am looking for a way to work from home these days. We are trying to pull in some extra money so we can go on vaction to some place fun this year. I thought about going to work full time and I just can't do it its too much time away from my son. So I figure if I work from home then I can make money and stay with Austin.

Austin's First Cereal

Well I gave Austin his first bite of cereal, his hunger is so great. He eats 6 oz at every feeding and this time with a TBSP of cereal I am atemping to upload a video but its not working out so well I will try another way.

Well I am behind and we have not uploaded pictures because the camera went missing and ... I think I remember just now where it is LOL!! Anyway, it was a busy holiday and we loved sharing it with our families. Austin got a lot of good gifts and Santa was able to bring him a couple little things. Tutu, Papa, Danny, Nikki, John, Karli, Leila, Amber, Eric and Carson all came out to celebrate with us. 

We were able to get video and some snapshots of all the kiddos. We had Mary Sandy our weding photographer do family pictures for us too.

I got a cricut and a yourstory book binding and laminating machine from my wonderfull hubby and I already made a couple things with it and can't wait to do some scrapbooking.
