17 Weeks 3 days

This weekend was uneventful but fun. We went for wings on Friday with our friend Tony. I ate 12 wings which is half of what I usually eat, when I am not pregnant, kinda sad I know. On Saturday we spent the majority of the day looking for a house, because as soon as the house sells we plan on buying the new one. I went to Wildflower diapers to check out the cloth diaper situation, Chris didn't go because it was a diaper store, they also had a lot of good information on each brand of diaper. Sunday we saw a bank owned property in Chandler and it wasn't in too bad of shape and just needed the floors to be finished, paint and baseboards. We also sat down and figured out how to make the sale of the house work for us and what the lowest price we would accept would be so we would still have the down payment and everything.

We are so excited for this week. We are having our big ultrasound on Friday, but we aren't telling anyone in California until the shower. We are going to tell our parents but that is it. As far as Arizona goes we are having a big reveal party to tell everyone out here, Johanna and Kenny gave me the idea. We are doing a cake with colored frossting in the middle which I still need to figure out where to get. We will tell the parents on Friday but its supposed to be kept a secret so shhh, don't tell. As you can tell my belly is bigger than I have ever been and its a little overwhelming at times I feel fat some days and ok others. I Still have a long way to go but we will behalf way done at the baby shower next month in CA and I can't wait to see Nikki's belly (even though she said she would send some to me she's hidding her belly pictures, boo!)! I can't wait to see everyone at the shower too! Well till next weeks picture.....have a super week!

Cloth Diapers!!

So we decided we are going to do our part to save money and contribute to the green movement. We are still deciding on which ones to use but we are looking at gdiapers, and bumgenius. We like the gdiapers because of the disposable inserts but we plan on using a cloth liner while at home. We also decided on the prefolds for when the baby is first born and then a cover over that. I am hoping it works out for us. Cloth diapers have come a long way and we are looking forward to the adventure. We are also going to try and make our own baby food when it comes time.

Big Reveal!

We planning on revealing the babys sex at a party out here and at the shower in CA! I would just like to thank Johanna for the awesome cake idea. We will have a cake with blue or pink frosting in the middle depending on what it is. Nikki was nice enough to volunteer to make the cake for the shower and since she is a great baker I am sure it will look fabulous!! Only a few more weeks till we know yay!!

Sleepless Night

So I am already tossing and turning in pain last night and then I get jabbed by Chris to move over. I was sad, I couldn't sleep and it was very annoying, I just wanted sleep. Well I finally started to fall asleep at 5:00am and the alarm went off at 5:45, so close. Last night was more growing pains so I felt like I was being pulled inside out. The baby is growing so fast and every now and again it kicks me or head butts or elbows me. I am just going to ask nicely tonight that I am allowed just a little bit of sleep, please. I need to probably get up and go in the other room though when I sleep that badly so Chris can still get up and go to work. I think I may have to use the pull out in the baby room.

Kick boxing baby

So I was jus sitting around and I felt the baby poke at me on my left then about 5 minutes later jab at my right. I am not feeling it everyday but its nice to know the baby is moving around in there. The count down to the finding out is coming up soon but we aren't sure when just yet probably right before I go out to California, in May. We will make an announcement as soon as we know though! I am so excited to be going back to CA to see everyone!

Great BBQ

We had a great BBQ, we loved the carne asada we bought from the carniceria. I made up my own macaroni salad recipe it turned out great. We had a lot of food left over so we sent everyone home with some. I got a digital picture fram from Chris and his Mom, it is very nice!! Shayla got me a book on eating right when pregnant, I love Shayla's gifts she is so good at picking out presents. Chris also got my dress for my shower, we ordered it online at http://kikisfashions.com it is all maternity and very affordable shipping is pretty cheap too.

Happy Easter! Happy Birthday!

Well it has been a sleepless night! I am not sure if it is the pregnancy or the fact I am anxious for Easter and my Birthday. I guess I won't know but its been 3 movies and not even a yawn. I am showing a little on the outside now, kinda different for me. We are having some friends over for a BBQ later suppossed to have Carne Asada but I still need to make it so we will see. Chris said he can pick some up at the Carniceria but I think they are closed. It was cloudy all day yesterday but its supposed to be nice today. Looking forward to a good day!

I felt the baby!

It wasn't anything spectacular and no big kick in the gut or anything but it was cool. It felt like bubbles, tiny little bubbles. There were 4 I think and I had no clue what it was so I asked a couple of my friends that are further along and they said it felt just like I described it, little bubbles all in the same spot. Right after the bubbles there was a streach or squeezing feeling not sure it startled me because I was sitting on the couch just reading my friend's blog. I hope I feel it again soon it was different and now that I know what to feel for I will be on the look out for it.
